Edible sensory activities can be highly engaging for most children, especially when sweets are involved. Edible sensory play makes it easy to turn baking with your toddlers into a learning environment in which they'll thrive. Edible play times are a perfect way to include more one on one activities into your day. Please make sure all elements are size appropriate. It is crucial to make sure that your sensory play options are safe and entirely edible. This is because young children are often more inclined to put various objects into their mouths.

Things you'll need for activity

  • Inspire My PlayTRAY
  • 1 recipe white oobleck (How To Video HERE)
  • 1 recipe play dough (How To Video HERE)
  • Tree cookie cutter
  • Polar bears
  • Penguins
  • Blue and white sea glass
  • White and sparkly white pom poms, two sizes
  • Sorting bowls
  • Scoop
  • Mini shovel

How To Make

Step 1: make oobleck and allow to almost fully dry. For a faster dry time, after mixing oobleck, allow oobleck to settle and then pour off almost all the water. You want it to be just barley wet. Refer to video if necessary.

Step 2: make play dough and using tree cookie cutters, cut out four threes. Set aside.

Step 3: one oobleck is set, add all sensory lose parts.

Step 4: set out tray, bowls and tools onto a surface safe

How To Play

No rules, just have fun. Be mindful of small parts and the choking hazard they pose. Oobleck is taste safe as long as no glitter or other non-foods have been added.
