How To Play
Put on protective eye ware. Place geode on hard surface outdoors, like cement. A place you don’t mind getting chipped or cracked by the geode or hammer. Depending on your child’s skill level, they may need a parent to do the smashing. The geodes are surprisingly difficult to open and sharp pieces can come flying off. Take precaution when hitting them with the hammer.
Once they are open, let you child look at them. Take time to explain what they are. The offered to have them pick a color to color the crystals inside. Place geode onto a paper towel and add color. Let geode fully dry before handling to avoid getting color on hands.
