How To Make
Step 1: make two oobleck recipes, one dark and one light for more of a realistic mud.
Step 2: place all Dino bones and skulls into the tray.
Step 3: pour over the darker mixture over the bones first followed by the lighter mixture.
Step 4: using a spatula, carefully spread the oobleck. This part will be difficult to move the mixture as its thick. Tilt the tray to get it so spread, so no white space is seen.
Step 5: set out in the sun (if possible) to fully dry, overnight is best.
Step 6: once set, put out all the tools and tray onto a surface safe for messy play.
How To Play
The object of the activity is simple, get the bones out. Depending on your kiddos age, you can explain more about dinosaurs and paleontologists. You can setup a scenario of them being the paleontologists and they are uncovering some rare Dino bones. If you’d like to take a photos of all the bones and skulls before you begin, you can print it out and have your little one match them. However you choose to play, they will dig it.
