Edible sensory activities can be highly engaging for most children, especially when sweets are involved. Edible sensory play makes it easy to turn baking with your toddlers into a learning environment in which they'll thrive. Edible play times are a perfect way to include more one on one activities into your day. Please make sure all elements are size appropriate. It is crucial to make sure that your sensory play options are safe and entirely edible. This is because young children are often more inclined to put various objects into their mouths.
Things you'll need for activity
- 4-6 Zucchinis
- Food spiralizer
- Large tray, big enough for baby to sit in or similar
How To Make
Step 1: spiral the zucchinis and place in the tray. If baby is sensitive to cold, be sure to leave the zucchinis out of the fridge.
Step 2: place on the floor, in an area safe for messy play.
How To Play
Like any tasting activity, its all about touching and mouthing. Place baby in the tray with the zucchini’s and just let them explore them. The idea is not for them to just eat the zucchini but to grab it, squish it, throw and whatever they would like to do with it. Just have fun feeling all the senses.
