Things you'll need for activity

• White card stock
• Number stickers or pen
• Felt heart stickers
• Goggly eyes (sticky back or glue to attach)
• Ink pad
• Black pen

How To Make

Step 1: start by numbering the paper with the sticky numbers vertically on the left side of the paper.

Step 2: have your little one add one felt heart next to each number.

Step 3: add the goggly eyes.

Step 4: add antennas to the tops of the hearts using the black

How To Play

Rules are simple, this activity is meant to teach your little one some simple counting by making the bodies of the caterpillars with their thumbprints. Depending on your child’s skill level, you may need to demonstrate dabbing their thumb onto the ink pad and placing next to the number one. Then for the following numbers how many each one gets. Repetition is key with anything and the more you say the numbers, the better. Continue until all numbers have caterpillar bodies corresponding to the number. Finally add legs. At the end, have your little one count each thumbprint for each caterpillar to reiterate the numbers.
