How To Play

There is no right or wrong way to play with I-Spy bottles. Getting baby intrested in the bottle is the objective and giving the I-spy bottle a good shake, will grab babies attention most easily. Depending on babies age, play can be done in any position that is safe. Lying on back, tummy or sitting up. Play to your babies strenghts and promote areas of improvment.

I-spy bottles are great for encouraging babies to grab for the bottle. Strengthening a mutitule of things such as; hand-eye coordination, pincher grasps, and fine and gross motor skills. All of which are important steps in getting baby moving.

Different Play Options based on babies skill level:

No Head Contorl: Lay baby on back or hold baby. Caregiver shakes and moves the I-spy bottle for baby, so that baby can watch and listen. Moving the bottle left to right, right to left. Up and down. Can be done at different speeds and intensity.

Full head control but unable to sit-up: Lay baby on their belly and place I-spy bottle in front of baby, close enough to reach. Allow baby to grab for the I-spy bottle and play freely. If baby is old enough to want to start crawling, bottle can be placed further and encourage baby to army crawl or pull to the bottle.

Full head control and able to sit-up: Sit baby upright (against a surface for safety). Place bottle arms reach away and allow baby to grab bottle. Allow exploration of the bottle.

Again, no wrong way to play as long as done age appropriate & safe. Incorporate All ways if baby is able to.
